Stump Grinding

Our stump grinding services help eliminate unsightly stumps from your property following tree removal. By using professional-grade equipment, our stump-grinding technicians can help improve the safety, appearance, and usability of the entire area.

Cabling and Bracing

Because poor structure doesn’t always necessitate removal, we offer cabling and bracing services designed to help stabilize weak limbs or split trunks. These systems help reduce failure risk while preserving the tree so that you can continue enjoying it for years.

24/7 Emergency Storm Services

Severe weather can wreak havoc on trees and properties, but our emergency storm services can help restore the safety and usability of your property. No matter the time or day, our crews are ready to remove fallen trees and provide the emergency pruning services you need.

Hand Pruning

Our hand pruning services are performed using manual tools to make the kind of precise, intentional cuts necessary for achieving top-tier results. This method helps to promote proper tree structure, encourage healthy growth, and support long-term tree vitality.

Root Collar Excavation

Our root collar excavation services involve the removal of excess soil or mulch to properly expose a tree’s root flare. This process allows us to visualize the roots and evaluate their health, improve oxygen exchange within the root system, and reduce the risk of girdling roots.

Root Pruning

We offer root pruning services to help manage root growth and reduce conflicts with structures or utility lines. The process is carefully performed by experienced arborists to ensure the trees suffer minimal stress and ensure ongoing tree stability.

Soil Aeration

Our soil aeration services are designed to loosen compacted soil around the root zone of a tree with the goal of reducing compaction and improving air and water movement through the substrate. These services help encourage stronger root development and support more efficient nutrient uptake.

Soil Amendment

Our team provides a variety of soil amendment services to help improve soil structure and nutrient availability through the addition of appropriate materials. The specific amendments used are selected based on the existing soil conditions and tree species requirements.

Soil Testing

Our soil testing services allow us to analyze the nutrient levels, pH balance, and composition of the soil around your trees. The results obtained allow our certified arborists to develop effective treatment plans designed to address the specific deficiencies detected.

Vertical Mulching

We offer vertical mulching services designed to create channels in compacted soil with the goal of enhancing oxygen penetration and water infiltration. This helps to improve your trees’ root function and overall soil health to provide the support your trees need.

Planting Investment Protection Program (PIPP)

Our Planting Investment Protection Program (PIPP) is designed to support the successful establishment of newly planted trees and help protect your investment in them. This program focuses on encouraging early root development and maintaining low stress levels for the trees.

Invasive Species Removal

Unfortunately, there are a number of common invasive species in the Metro DC area that can compete with our native trees and plant species. But our invasive species removal services help protect your native plants and the ecosystem as a whole.

Seasonal Protection Program

Designed to support your trees throughout the year, our seasonal protection program provides scheduled treatments based on changing environmental conditions. This helps to reduce the effects of seasonal stress and promote consistent tree health.

Biostimulant Multi Vitamin Application

Our biostimulant multi vitamin treatments help support root growth and improve the stress tolerance of your trees. Designed to help support tree vitality without forcing unnatural growth, these services provide an easy way to help keep your trees looking their best in all seasons.

Emerald Ash Borer Protection

The emerald ash borer is an invasive insect that threatens most of the ash trees within our area. However, we offer emerald ash borer protection services designed to keep your trees protected. These applications are timed and administered according to current arboricultural standards.

Deer Protection Programs

Our deer protection programs help reduce browsing and the physical damage deer can sometimes cause. Some of the solutions we provide include repellents, deterrents, or protective barriers, but they’re all designed to avoid harming the deer or other wild animals.

Preventative Maintenance Programs

Our canopy protection program focuses on providing the support necessary for maintaining strong, healthy tree canopies. These ongoing services reduce things like insect pressure, disease risks, and environmental stressors to ensure the long-term health of your trees.

Insect Treatments

A variety of pest species can infest, weaken, and kill trees in the DC Metropolitan area, but we offer a comprehensive assortment of insect treatments that are designed to keep these threats in check. Importantly, our treatment methods are effective but minimize unnecessary harm for pollinators.
